A spray tan is a sunless tanning method that’s a safe effective way to achieve a natural tan without exposure to harmful UV rays. A fine mist is sprayed onto the body containing Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), which is a colorless sugar that reacts with the top layer of skin cells, giving you a tanned appearance over a period of a few hours.

Spray tanning has become very popular as a safe way to tan, and is Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved for external use.

We have two studios:

Our Oakton, VA location is a private studio and the address is provided upon booking.

Our Vienna, VA location is conveniently located in the heart of Vienna at 123 Church St NW, Vienna VA 22180. There is a dedicated parking lot in front of the studio, as well as nearby street parking.

We recommend giving yourself at least 24 hours for your appointment so you have time to prep your skin (shaving and exfoliating the night before), so that you get the best spray tan results.

However, we do occasionally offer same day appointments for "tan-mergencies".

We recommend scheduling your spray tan 1-3 days prior to your event, with 2 days prior being ideal.

If you're going on vacation, we recommend scheduling your spray tan the day before you leave.

We do NOT advise being sprayed for photographic sessions, modeling assignments, weddings, etc. unless you have had a trial spray tan (best to book this at least 2 weeks before your event). We require brides to book a trial spray tan.

The length of your tan depends on the maintenance afterwards. Moisturizing and staying hydrated are two important factors that help maintain color. Most people notice their tan begins to fade after around 7-10 days. With proper aftercare and by following our post-care tips, it’s possible for your spray tan to last up to 14 days!

If you’ve booked a Classic Tan (Island Time), you’ll rinse off after 8-10 hours. If you’ve booked an Express Tan (Wiki Wiki), you’ll rinse off in 2-4 hours. Your spray tan artist will give you a recommended time.

Do NOT wait more than 24 hours after your appointment to shower. 

Your first shower should be a slow rinse, with lukewarm water, and absolutely NO SOAP. Use the palms of your hands to rinse surface bronzer off your skin, focusing on your legs, behind your arms, in your ears, and around your nose. The #1 cause for streaks is bronzer not being rinsed off thoroughly. 

In the days following, avoid harsh scrubbing, loofahs, washcloths, hot water, and barsoap. Pat yourself dry when toweling off. 

Avoid bath scrubs, oily products, Dove, and Olay products. Shave with care (regular disposable razors without the moisture strip are actually best).

Your tan will develop within 24-48 hours.

Our high quality spray tan solution is dermatologist tested and allergy tested. However, if you have high sensitivity, we recommend you do a patch test with us and come back in 24 hours.

Orange?! No way! Your spray tan artist will evaluate your skin undertones and custom blend a solution that will work best for your skin type, and look the most natural. Based on the solution used, we will give you a timeline on when to rinse off.
